Film Roles


Writer- Someone who writes the script for the film. The come up with a story line and characters and write the script accordingly.



Producer- They do a range of jobs including selecting scripts, handling accounts and editing.



Casting Director- The person in charge for assigning roles in the film.



Director- The person in charge of activity and organisation.



Film Finance- Before the film is produce the film finance works out how much the film is going to cost to make.



Camera Operator- They are the ones who capture the content for the films and they take a wide range of footage.



Editor- The art of assembling shots in order and to select the best shots and cut out the not so good ones.



Production Designer- They work with the director and editor to select the set, location, props, graphics, lighting, camera angle and costumes.



Marketing- The person who promotes the film and works to get people to watch the film.



Exhibition- The part where the film is being shown at the cinema, the actual showing.
